Looking for a unique way to give back and engage your team? Habitat Chesapeake’s Team Build program brings businesses, employee groups, and community organizations together for a powerful, hands-on volunteer experience. Your team will build stronger connections, learn new skills, and make a direct impact on affordable housing across Central Maryland.
Each year, nearly 3,000 volunteers join us to construct homes, process ReStore donations, and revitalize communities—most of them through our Team Build partnerships.
What Will Your Team Build?
A Team Build isn’t just another day of service—it’s an interactive charitable contribution that’s tax-exempt and drives real change. Your participation directly advances social equity, creates long-term opportunities, and improves the quality of life for working families in Maryland.
With a donation of $5,000 per 10 volunteers, your organization can enjoy a full-day experience on one of our build sites or in a Habitat ReStore. No special skills are required—we provide all the tools, training, and guidance.
A Typical Team Build Day
8:30 a.m. Arrival, orientation, and kickoff ceremony
9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Hands-on building or ReStore activities
3:00 p.m. Group photos, celebration, and recognition
Team Build activities take place across Central Maryland, including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Howard Counties as well as Baltimore City.

Lend a Hand at the ReStore
Prefer to give back off the construction site? Team volunteering at a Habitat Chesapeake ReStore is another great option. From customer service to merchandising to warehouse assistance, ReStores provide a variety of ways to get involved.
- Volunteer opportunities available Tuesday–Saturday, 10:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Choose from two shifts: 10:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Locations in Columbia, Dundalk, Glen Burnie, Halethorpe, and Timonium
- No experience or contribution required—just a willingness to help!
