Volunteering With Habitat Chesapeake

Volunteering Is Your Chance to Build a Better Future for Others

Looking for a meaningful way to serve? Habitat Chesapeake offers hands-on opportunities to engage your congregation, company, school, or community group while giving back to families across Central Maryland.

We bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope, and that includes you. Whether you’re swinging a hammer, sorting ReStore donations, leading a youth project, or organizing a fundraising activity with your group, there’s a place for you at Habitat Chesapeake.

Find Your Volunteer Opportunity

Ready to make an impact? Pick the opportunity that fits you: build on-site, help in a ReStore, or manage a fundraising activity with your group. All you need is time and the heart to help.

Individual Volunteering

Volunteer on your own, with friends, or as a young professional. Whether you’re a student, just starting your career, or simply want to give back, there’s a place for you on our build sites or in ReStores.

The Volunteer Hub is OPEN for:

  • Individual volunteers (build sites & ReStores)
  • Group volunteers (corporate, faith, school & community groups)
  • ReStore volunteers (supporting local ReStores)
  • Youth & student projects (14+)

Simple Steps to Get Started

  1. Create your volunteer profile on our Volunteer Hub
  2. Choose your interest area: construction, ReStores, theme builds and specialty opportunities
  3. Sign up for an opportunity—virtual or on-site
  4. Show up ready to learn, contribute, and make an impact
  5. Keep coming back! Our regular volunteers are the heart of our work

A Few Reminders

  • Safety first! For everyone’s protection, all volunteers must be scheduled in advance and complete a waiver before serving. Build site space is limited, and the same safety-first approach applies at our ReStores.
  • Missed spots matter. Every no-show is a lost opportunity to build.
  • All are welcome. We’ll do our best to match volunteers of all abilities with meaningful tasks.
